The Robin Henkel Band with Horns performs their own unique blend of jazz, blues, funk and swing. Firmly grounded in artistic expression Robin describes it this way “Our performances honor the rich music traditions of blues, jazz, swing and funk. The usual line-up is trumpet with tenor and baritone saxophones, guitar, bass and drums. Sometimes clarinet and congas find their way into the mix. We love playing music that is modern as well as digging into the styles of great artists from the past such as Duke Ellington and Slim Gaillard.”
