John Bilezikjian &Frank Lazzaro
May 6, 2012 • 2:00-3:00pm

John Bilezikjian is a world class musician who performs on numerous classical and Middle-Eastern instruments.
He is an author, teacher, historian, entertainer, record label owner and sings and performs in some 11 languages.
John has recorded music for 80 motion picture and television productions in his 50 plus years in the music business.
He has appeared with Leonard Cohen on three world tours, has extensive experience in all facets of the music
industry and has been one of the most acclaimed studio musicians in the Hollywood music scene since the 1960s.

Along with percussionist Frank Lazzaro, they will perform music from the Middle-East and will describe and demonstrate
the music from this part of the world to the Encinitas Library audience.Seating is limited to chairs in room ONLY.

Brande Silverthorn,
Forensic Evidence Technician

Have you ever wondered what it is REALLY like at a CSI/forensics crime lab?

Brande Silverthorn is a Forensic Evidence Technician with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department. She has been working
in the forensic science field since 2005. Her career began with the San Diego Police Department where she worked
as a Crime Scene Specialist. While at the San Diego Police Department, Brande has been involved in the investigation
of 120 serious crime investigations including homicides, officer-involved shootings, excavations, sexual assault and child
abuse cases. She is qualified as an expert witness in crime scene processing and evidence collection.

Allison Adams Tucker Quartet
June 3, 2012 • 2:00-3:00pm

Jazz vocalist and San Diego native, Allison Adams Tucker has been performing in front of audiences since
the age 5. She studied piano, flute, violin, dance and voice since elementary school and went on to earn her
BA in Linguistics and Music Vocal Performance. Allison’s vocal palette has been colored by her experience in a variety of musical genres throughout
her life, from punk rock to Elizabethan a cappella. Allison’s debut CD “Come With Me” co-produced by jazz guitarist Peter
Sprague and arranged by Kamau Kenyatta, has received international acclaim, was nominated for Best Jazz Album 2009 by the San Diego Music
Awards, and continues to receive airplay on radio stations in 18 countries. As an international artist, Allison tours Japan and Europe with performances on
national television, radio stations, festivals, and clubs. Allison has shared festival billing and musical collaborations with jazz greats
such as Kenny Burrell, Poncho Sanchez, Sheila E, Tommy Campbell, Branford Marsalis, Manhattan Transfer, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves
and Wayne Shorter.
